The study considered the core of clinical significance in Nordoff-Robbins Music Therapy as the development of music and relationship, and consider the therapeutic stages and their meanings by linking the cyclical pattern of attachment to the recursive structure of music. Even if the specificity of the musical experience is emphasized, providing a coordinated music structure based on a sense of relational safety in clinical improvisational music therapy acts as a scaffold for creative motivation and experience that encourages clients to voluntarily explore and change. The basis of a safe relationship base is the foundation of music expansion, just as the basis of attachment formation secures the cycle of exploration and development. It also serves as a resource to expand the depth of the therapeutic relationship throughout the course of treatment, not just in the initial alliance. Therefore, this study considered Nordoff-Robbins Music Therapy by analogy with attachment theory, which is a universal principle of human communication and a basic concept of psychotherapy, regarding the expansion of music and the development of therapeutic relationships.
