척도 형용사의 다의성 연구 = A study on Ambiguity of Standard Adjective

다국어 초록 (Multilingual Abstract)

I took up this study to examine an ambiguity of standard adjective. An ambiguity is one of the fundamental characteristics of human language, which make up a cluster as a basic and derived meaning. Judging from this viewpoint the meaning of polysemy language is usually extended from space to time, while that of standard language is orderly widened from space to concreteness, time, abstraction and idiomaticness. And as these standard languages are separately changed into other meaning, they are charged with the valuable meaning.
Thus, I examined into the value level of them based on the affirmative and negative concept.
Given that they have a directional significance, I also studied a directional phase.
Meanwhile, I inquired into the standard related to the ambiguity of them to understand the standardized phase in consideration of the standardized level based on the yes or no of correspondence between them and confrontation languages.
Finally, I investigated the idiomatic meaning of them from the constituent analytic angle.

국문 초록 (Abstract)

본 연구는 척도형용사의 다의성을 검토하는 것을 그 목적으로 한다. 인간 언어의 기본적 특성 가운데 하나인 다의성은 기본의미와 파생의미로 다발을 형성하고 있다. 이러한 측면에서 의미확장의 방향은 대체로 공간성에서 시간성으로 이루어지기도 하는데 척도어는 공간성에서 구체성, 시간성, 추상성, 관용성의 순서로 의미확장이 이루어진다. 그리고 이들 척도어들은 의미가 전이되면서 가치론적인 상황을 띠게 되는데 긍정성과 부정성이라는 측면에서 이들 척도어들의 가치 상태에 대해서도 살펴보았다. 또한 척도어들이 방향성의 의미와도 관련성이 있다는 점을 고려하여 방향상의 상태가 나타나는 양상에 대해서 고찰했다. 한편 척도어들의 다의성과 관련하여 척도성에 대한 논의도 시도했는데 척도성의 정도는 대립어와의 대응 여부에 따라서 그 정도가 판단된다는 점을 염두에 두고 그 양상을 파악해 보고자 했다. 끝으로 성분분석적 입장에서 척도어들의 관용성에 대해서 고찰해 보았다.
