대학교 교과목의 분반수 결정요인에 관한 연구 = A Study on the Factors Associated with the Number of Sessions to University Lecture Courses

국문 초록 (Abstract)

본 연구는 대학교에서 운영하고 있는 교과목들에 대한 적정 분반수를 추정하기 위한 모형을 제안하기 위하여 교과목의 총수강인원수에 영향을 미칠 것으로 예측되는 요인들, 즉 교수관련 요인, 학생관련 요인, 과목관련 요인이 교과목별 총수강인원수에 어느 정도 영향을 미치는지에 관한 가설들을 설정하여 이를 분석하였으며, 가설 검정의 결과를 바탕으로 교과목의 총수강인원수에 유의적인 영향력을 가지는 독립변수들로 구성된 회귀식을 도출함으로써 교과목의 적정 분반수 결정을 위한 예측모형을 설정하고, 이를 표본으로 선정된 교과목에 적용시킴으로써 각 교과목의 총수강인 원수를 예측한 결과가 적정 분반수를 결정하는 데 어떻게 활용될 수 있는지에 관한 방안들을 제시하였다. 이에 따라 교과목의 분반수 운영의 유연성 측면에서 단과대학 자체의 분반 운영은 물론 향후 학교 차원의 분반수 결정 기준에 참고가 될 것을 기대한다.

This study is to find the factors associated with the number of sessions for university lecture courses and to provide some insights into estimating the desirable number of sessions for them based on the results. Using the data collected from instructors, students, and courses, this paper (1) analyzed the influences of instructor factors, student factors, and course factors on total attendance at lecture classes and (2) estimated the desirable number of sessions for university lecture courses.
