      This study is about Palmer’s education theory to assert a recovery of spirituality. Since his arguments have been emphasized not only on theory but put them into practice, the author tried to study Palmer’s arguments on spirituality and education. The Spirituality Concept from the experience of Palmer’s Quaker community in chapter Ⅱ, and the meanings of teaching & learning with respect to criticism of modern education based on objectivism, which is modern mainstream epistemology, in chapter Ⅲ would be discussed respectively. Palmer’s personal knowledge is not separable into knower subject but tied personally and could be acquired in the community of the truth. According to Palmer, teaching means creating a space such that the community of the truth could be realized. In chapter Ⅳ, the characteristics that Palmer’s spirituality concept has and educational suggestions to current education would be discussed. The characteristics of Palmer’s spirituality does not stress a certain religious background but stress a spiritual tradition as an epistemological method. Therefore Palmer’s concept of spirituality has openness. Educational suggestions are as follows. First, With respect to spirituality, Palmer shows a change from the within. Second, overcoming the problems of innert knowledge education in which curriculum and learner are isolated each other by emphasis on personal mediating between them. Third, stress on the interaction between teaching and learning. Lastly, Palmer also stresses the role of a teacher as a person who teach and learn at the same time. His arguments suggest possibilities to find changes in education by that a teacher himself (herself) is aware of his(her) spirituality.
