재가고령자의 일상생활동작과 관련요인에 관한 연구 = 공분산 구조방정식모형을 이용한 Barthel Index의 교차타당성의 검토

국문 초록 (Abstract)

본 연구는 재가고령자를 대상으로 Barthel Index를 사용하여 ADL을 평가하고, 그 내부구조의 타당성에 관한 교차타당성 Cross-validation 및 Barthel Index의 성차, 연령차에 대해 검토하는 것을 목적으로 시행되었다. 조사는 서울시에 거주하고 서울시의 노인복지관을 이용하고 있는 747명의 고령자를 대상으로 실시되었다. 통계분석으로는 Wade등의 보고를 기초로 1요인 모델을 설정하고, 확증적 요인분석으로 데이터의 적합도를 검토하였다. 또한 MMIC모델을 채택하여 성, 연령과의 관련성을 검토했다. 그 결과 1요인 모델은 통계학적인 허용수준을 만족시켰으며, 강한 요인구조를 갖는다는 것을 알 수 있었다. 또한 Barthel Index로 측정한 ADL은 연령차를 반영하지만 성의 차이는 반영하지 않았다. 이상의 결과를 통해 Barthel Index가 한국의 재가고령자에게 있어서도 유효한 척도라는 것이 지지되었다.

다국어 초록 (Multilingual Abstract)

The purpose of this study is to examine the cross validity of Bartel Index(BI) among elderly people, by structural equation modeling(ADL, sex and age). Seven hundred forty seven(747) people, whose make use of welfare centers in Seoul, Korea, were the subject of this examination. Those, 267 were men(35.7%) and 480 were women(64.3%), with 72.4 as average of age(SD=6.1, from age 65 to 95). For statistical analysis, one factor model, based on Wades report, was created and examined the goodness fit to the data using the confirmatory factor analysis, which resulted in: CFI=0.974 and TLI=0.986. Statistically, the path coefficient was also significant, which was between 0.803 and 0.948. In addition, a MMIC model was adopted in order to investigate the relationship between ADL(measured by BI) and sex, and age. As result, the relation ADL-sex was not significant(t=0.571, γ=-0.029), but the relation ADL-age was significant(t=6.591, γ =-0.300). These findings suggest that BI is an effective measure among elderly people in the USA and in Europe, as well in Korea.
