Externally reinforced FRP(fiber reinforced plastic) water tank has been developed for ensuring hygiene and ease of management of water storage. This paper presents structural analysis of FRP tank structure for water storage using a commercial finite element program. Displacements and stresses under the static pressure of water deadweight are calculated using the ANSYS program. The maximum tensile stress of beam and panel are calculated as 17.71 kgf/mm2, and 2.88 kgf/mm2, respectively, and these stress level is evaluated comparatively high to secure the safety of the structure. The results shows that side beam of the water tank should be modified for the safety of structure.
