몸학적 무용접근법의 활용 방안에 관한 연구 = The Study on the Application of a Somatic Approach to Dance Research

다국어 초록 (Multilingual Abstract)

Since Thomas Hanna advocated Somatics and somatic education, a somatic approach has been adopted in dance research recently. A somatic approach analyzes choreographic processes in the first-person perspective, not in the third-person perspective, so that it may contribute to the development in dance, theoretically and technically. However, it seems that a somatic approach in dance research has largely emphasized natural soma in the somatic view, and overlooked the essential characteristics of dance. The aim of this study is to analyze the difference between a somatic approach and the characteristics of dance art in terms of the energy flow in movement, and discuss the practical contribution of a somatic approach to dance research. Using a somatic approach, a researcher is able to provide a first-person view on how to develop and expand the realm of movement through the functional integration of the sensor-motor system in the movement study. Therefore it is necessary in a somatic approach to put an emphasis on how to develop body schema in the choreographic process through the awareness of the sensor-motor system.
