복지패널을 활용한 청소년 성장 과정에서 자아존중감과 비행행동 변화 연구 = A Causal Relationship between Self-Esteem and Delinquent Behavior during the Growth to Adolescents using Korean Welfare Panel

다국어 초록 (Multilingual Abstract)

The purpose of this study was to analyze the causal relationship between Self-Esteem and Delinquent Behavior during the growth from children to adolescents. For this, we analyzed the 1st, and 4th wave annual data sets of Korean Welfare Panel Study(KWPS) by National Youth Policy Institute Korea. Every a period of four years of KWPS, there was added children survey. The valid data from 1st and 4th wave were 557(male: 284, female: 273). The result of analysis were as follows:(a) Self-esteem had statistically significant negative effect on delinquent behavior at the same period(both 1st and 4th year).
(b) Self-esteem(1st year) had statistically significant effect on self-esteem(4th year), and delinquent behavior(1st year) had statistically significant effect on delinquent behavior(4th year).
(c) 1st year's delinquent behavior had statistically significant effect on 4th year's delinquent behavior.

국문 초록 (Abstract)

본 연구는 아동과 청소년의 성장과정에서 조사되어진 자아존중감과 비행행동의 변화 관계를 탐색하고자 하였다. 이를 위하여 복지패널자료 중 4년을 주기로 이뤄지고 있는 아동조사 자료를 활용하여, 1차년도와 4차년도의 자아존중감과 비행행동의 관계를 구조방정식 모형으로 분석하였다. 연구대상은 1차년도와 4차년도 모두 응답한 대상자 중 유효한 응답을 한 557명(남:284명, 여273명)이었다. 자아존중감 및 비행행동의 1차년도와 4차년도 관계를 연구모형과 경쟁모형으로 설정하고 모형비교를 통해 적합한 모형을 중심으로 인과 관계의 가설을 설정하였다. 이를 바탕으로 구조적 관계, 직접효과, 간접효과, 총효과 및 매개효과의 유의성 등을 확인하였다.
분석결과, 자아존중감, 비행 모두 1차년도의 결과가 4차년도에 유의한 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났고, 1차년도와 4차년도 모두 자아존중감은 비행행동에 부적인 영향을 주는 것으로 나타났다. 또, 1차년도 비행은 4차년도 자아존중감에 영향을 주는 것으로 나타났다.
