Samachon was taesaryung after his father Samadam during the reign of Emperor Hyomu. He wrote the book in his own way, writing history according to his father’s wishes. This is the “Saggi”. He created a new style of historical stories centered on characters, not on previous methods. As a result, a total of 130 Chinese history records, ‘Dongi’ 12 ‘pyo’, 10 ‘Seo’, 8 ‘Sega’, 30 ‘Yeoljeon’, 70 columns, and 130 total.
It is believed that Samacheon’s history began with an ideological background. Scholars tend to view his ideology as Confucianism for many and Taoism for a few. But However, under various circumstances, only one of the six theories was not considered. If only one theory had been revered, there would have been a limit to writing “Saggi”. In particular, he came to the idea that Saggi’s ‘palseo’ could not be built because of its special nature of accepting or incorporating various theories.
In ‘Taesagongjaseo’, his father Samadam helped Samacheon make up for his academic deficiencies. ‘Taesagongjaseo’ said that his father Samadam helped make up for Samacheon’s academic shortage. Therefore, Samacheon was able to establish an academic system that was able to learn various theories. Based on this, it was can recognized that he was a philosophy thinker of comprehensive thinking, not Confucianism or Taoism. Therefore, even if “Saggi” is the result of these ideas of Samacheon, it will not deviate significantly from this framework.
Another is the controversy over tampering and forgery with ‘Palseo’.
After Jiang An mentioned the problems of ‘Yeseo,’ ‘Akseo’, and ‘Yulseo’ in “Hanseoju,” controversy over tampering and forgery arose among many scholars during the Qing Dynasty.
In this controversy, Bang-po, Wang Myung-sung, Wang Won-gye and Yang Ok-seung’s arguments are relatively concrete and logical and have significant persuasion. In other words, there are differences in claims of small modulation or most modulation, and some are somewhat unlikable. However, it was generally sympathetic to find missing sentences, traces of modulation, useless sentences, and missing characters, and to analyze them closely and record them.
As for Choijeok’s forgery, I felt that it was necessary to judge it very carefully to accept it. Because “Saggi”’s ‘Falseo’ was all tampered with, and all under ‘Yulseo’ are counterfeit He also claimed that from Yulseo to Pyeongjunseo, it was a theft of Hanseo’s ‘Sipji’. However, I should have provided a clear basis for why this was a forgery, but I couldn’t. For this reason, it is hard to sympathize with the allegations of counterfeiting. We need to study this strictly in the future.
