교정시설 간호사의 실무 경험 = Nurses' Experience on Nursing Practice in Correctional Facilities

다국어 초록 (Multilingual Abstract)

Purpose: The purpose of this study was to identify nurses’s experience of practice in correctional facility. Methods: The participants of this study were 10 nurses of which data has been collected until saturation, currently working in correctional facilities. The data were analyzed simultaneously with collection based on the phenomenological analytic method presented by Colaizzi (1978). Results: 7 categories were derived from the data. The 7 categories were ‘mediating between border and nursing’, ‘resocialization of imprisone’, ‘conflict with overworking’, ‘absence of specialized education’, ‘longing for formation of networking’, ‘rewarding’, and ‘inner growth’. Conclusion: Based on the results, correctional facility nurses were trying their best in their work, while also in conflict due to many difficulties. The conflicts of correctional facility nursing practice should be properly understood and the means for resolution must be found.
