의료상업화 문제에 대한 의료전문주의의 한계와 대안 = The Limits and Alternatives of medical professionalism against the commercialization of health care system

다국어 초록 (Multilingual Abstract)

For the last 10 years, the commercialization and privilization of health care system have become a big issue in Korea. In particular, the commercialization of medical system has threatened the medical professionalism which means the primacy of patient welfare, patient autonomy and social justice. So, some argues that the recovery of classical medical professionalism which was based on altruism is the expert solution as a professional group for the problem of medical commercialization, but this kind of moral claims have not been able to exceed the campaign level.
This article points out the limitation of medical professionalism and emphasizes the class differentiation of physician group in the commercialization process despite the debate whether or not the physician proletarianization. This allows that some physicians who have experienced the polarization process in medical society can be the subject of medical anti-commercialization movement from their class-based motives.
