The purpose of this study was to find space standard and length standard of the Mega-Event facilities of the 2000 Kyongju World Culture EXPO, based on the perception of tourists' crowding. Space standards(m/person) and length standards(m²/person) of the Mega-Event facilities could be measurable. But there were not the cure-all standard applying with all tourist attractions and facilities. Almost space standards of facilities were less than I mm²/person. The results also show that length standard of Special Fxhibition(weekday 0.51m/person weekend 0.33m/person) was the longest. Almost length standards of facilities were found to be longer weekend than weekday. The results indicate that a day carrying capacity of two standard was greater than the company's estimations. But it was overestimated under the carrying capacity of opening times. The findings imply that these two standards will be a guideline controlling number of tourists and size of facilities to Mega-Event planners. Length standards through tourist crowding perception will be new hint to researchers of carrying capacity. Finally, it could 6e applied to carrying capacity studies with various tourist attractions, studies of comparing standards between open area and closed area, and crowding perception stage study.
