Emission factors are very useful tools for estimating air pollutants from sources. However, because such factors are average obtained from data of wide range and varying degrees of accuracy, emissions calculated this way for a given facility are likely to be different form that facility's actual emissions. Because they are averages, the emission factor will be higher than actual emissions for some sources and lower than for others.
In this work, the air quality near municipal Incinerator was evaluated using the various emission factor on environmental impact assessment of the municipal Incinerator(A incinerator of capacity 100ton/day). The emission factors were used a design data of environmental impactor assessment(A and B incinerator), the emission factor of MOE(Ministry of Environment of Korea) and EPA(AP-42), and a measured value, respective.
The air quality concentrations of each point(P-1~P-7) were calculated by the ISCST3 which is suggested by US EPA as one of the regulatory Gaussian dispersion model. The air quality calculation result showed that the predicted concentration at P-1 point were PM10 0.0277~3.4391㎍/㎥, SO2 0.0388~0.0838ppb and NO2 0.0917~0.2043ppb, respective.
