서울시 정보통신기술산업의 공간적 집중 패턴 변화

This study aims to investigate the changes in the patterns of spatial distribution of information and communication technology (ICT) industries in Seoul. We also examine the industrial specialization by regional groups and the distribution characteristics of the geographic concentration index in 2002, 2007 and 2012. Based on theories of spatial agglomeration, we use Location Quotients index and the modified Ellison-Glaeser index to determine the industrial specialization and the distribution characteristics of concentration, respectively. The exploratory spatial data analysis method, including Moran"s I statistics and local indicator of spatial association are also applied to detect whether the ICT industries are spatially clustered or not. The major finding is that the ICT industries are significantly concentrated in Seoul, and the spatial concentration of the ICT manufacturing industries shows deepen. The results from the exploratory spatial data analysis suggest that the ICT industries have spatially clustered around Seocho-Gangnam, Yeouido-Yongsan, and Mapo- Gangseo areas in 2012. In addition, spatial changes in clustering pattern have observed. These results shed light on the approach to facilitate the networking of the ICT industries and give some implications on the spatial-industry policy.
