This study was to explore the effects of RJPs(Realistsic Job Previews) as a personnel selection method on the post-hire outcomes of employees who have been working in service lines of Hotel and Travel agent. The condition of internship as RJPs and two types of tourism-related companies have been chosen as the independent variables. The dependent variables (i. e.. post-hire outcomes) were job satisfaction, intention of turnover, and emotional labor, respectively. Samples of 329 employees for service divisions from 4 hotels and 4 travel agents in Korea have been surveyed. The data have been analyzed by the two-way ANOVA(i. e., 2 internships x 2 company types). The results shows the significant interaction effects between the internship types and company types on the two variables that are job satisfaction and emotional labor. The intention of turnover, however, was not effected by the interaction of the two independent variables. These results reflect that the internship has negative effects, or at least non positive effect on the post-hire outcomes in the simple jobs like the hotel service work compared to the service in a travel agents. These phenomena from the hotel employees may be interpreted being based on the self-dropout mechanism of internships.
