공공공간의 음환경 개선을 위한 도입음의 선택에 관한 연구 = The Selection of Introduced Sounds to Improve Soundscape in the Public Spaces

다국어 초록 (Multilingual Abstract)

This study aims to rate the preference of subjects for introduced sounds suitable to the public spaces and also to investigate the methodology for selecting the sounds by subjective and objective procedures. Seventeen kinds of introduced sounds were evaluated with nine adjectives in the presence of visual location information. Also, adequate sound levels were calculated by adjusting the volume of introduced sounds in the presence of the actual background sounds of locations and visual information. The concept of harmony with the surroundings was reviewed by analyzing the correlation among 9 adjectives which express introduced sounds. And the effectiveness of existed sound quality index was analyzed so as to select introduced sounds quantitatively. The results are as follows; 1.In quiet places, the various introduced sounds were welcomed compared to more noisy places. 2.The concept of 'harmonic' has high correlation with the concepts of 'pleasant', 'comfortable' and 'abundant' but not with 'strong' and 'peculiar'. 3.By the evaluation of the adequate level of introduced sounds, it is proposed that the lower introduced sound level would be better for the noisy circumstances. Also, the levels showed big difference depending on the acoustic characteristics and preferences. 4.Some sound quality evaluation metrics showed a possibility of useful tool for selecting introduced sounds.
