주류성의 장소성과 백강의 지리적 인접성 = The Placeness of Ju-Ryu fortress(周留城) and Geographical Proximity of Baekgang(白江).

국문 초록 (Abstract)

약 1350년 전에 백제부흥군의 최대 거점이었던 주류성과 백강의 지리적 인접성에 대하여 살펴보았다. 주류성은 험준한 요새지로 방어에 유리하였을 뿐만 아니라, 백제시대 중방이었던 고부의 방어 시설을 복원 및 계승함으로써 서해안의 여러 거점들을 연결하는 중심축의 역할을 할 수 있었다고 추정 된다. 주류성과 연계된 방어 시설들이 유지되는 데는 필수품의 공급이 가장 중요하였으며, 특히 대량 운송수단인 배가 다니는 해로와 하천의 역할이 중요하였다. 이런 점에서 주류성과 직접 연결되는 동진강과 두포천 및 고부천은 100년 전까지 자연 상태의 감조하천이었으며, 홍수와 밀물이 겹치는 7월 달에는 거의 바다였기에 이런 역할에 적합하였다고 할 수 있다. 이들 하천 유역에는 배가 드나들었던 포구들과 함께 백제부흥군과 신라군과의 전투가 벌어졌던 전래 지명들이 아직 많이 남아 있다. 이들로 미루어 동진강과 두포천및 고부천 유역이 백강 또는 백촌강일 가능성이 높다.

다국어 초록 (Multilingual Abstract)

I discussed the placeness of Ju-Ryu fortress(周留城) which was the greatest base of Baekje Revival Army(百濟復興軍) about 1350 years ago and geographical proximity of Baekgang(白江). It was presumed that Ju-Ryu fortress had advantages to defend itself against its enemies as a rugged fortress and played a central role in connection the various bases of the west coast by restoring and succeeding the defense facilities of Go-Bu(古阜). The supply of necessities was the most important factor in maintaining the defense facilities connected with the Ju-Ryu fortress. Especially, the role of the routes of the sea and the rivers were important because the ships were a mass transportation means. In this respect, the Dong-Jin River(東津江), the Doo-Po stream(斗浦川), and the Go-Bu stream(古阜川), which are directly connected to the Ju-Ryu fortress, were natural regeneration rivers up to 100 years ago and were suitable for this role because they were almost sea in the month of July when the floods and tides overlap.
There are still a lot of nominations in the river basin where the battle between Baekje-Boohung Army and Silla was done. Therefore, it is highly probable that the Dong-Jin River, Doo-Po stream and Go-Bu stream watersheds are either Baekgang or Baekcheon River(白村江).
