일제강점기 근대 관광지로서의 금강산 = Mt. Geumgang, Tourism areas under the Japanese colonial rules

국문 초록 (Abstract)

일제강점기는 근대 문물의 유입과 함께 많은 변화가 이루어졌고, 그 중 하나가 근대관광의 시작이다. 그리고 이런 일제강점기의 특징을 가장 잘 볼 수있는 지역이 바로 금강산이다. 그래서 연구자는 이런 금강산의 근대관광지로 서의 특징을 알아보기 위해 일제강점기 동아일보 기사 및 금강산을 여행한 조선인들의 여행기를 분석하였다. 이를 통해 찾은 근대관광으로서의 특징은 관광 주체의 보편화, 관광의 일상화, 관광의 산업화이다. 그리고 이런 변화에 따라 금강산을 이용하는 관광객의 행태 역시 변모한 것을 확인할 수 있었다.
그 변화는 첫째, 관광경로와 관광 일정이 규격화된 것이며, 둘째, 급속한 관광 산업의 발달에 따라 금강산의 종교적 신성성이 세속화되었고, 마지막으로 금강산이 관광객에 의해 그리고 관광객을 위한 근대문물의 실천의 장이 되었 다는 것이다.

다국어 초록 (Multilingual Abstract)

There were a lot of changes happened, including tourism under the Japanese colonial rule. Recently, the Japanese colonial rule is recognized as the starting point of tourism. Mt. Geumgang is the area as tourism features of Japanese colonial rules brings out best. Then, this paper is to show how the tourism of Koreans in Mt. Geumgang was different from the one in Joseon Dynasty. To do this, I analysed Dong-A Newspapers, magazine articles and literary works from 1920 to 1940. As its features, first is generalization of tourist. The second is that tourism activity is the formal act. The third, tourism s became one of the industrial activity. As a result, the figure of tourist’s activity was transformed.
As its features, first, period of sightseeing and tourist routes have been standardized. Secondly, depending on the rapid development of tourism industry, rather than sacred of religious legacy of Mt. Geumgang, it is one that has been secularized. Third, Mt. Geumgang became the place of practice of modern lifestyle for tourists or, by tourists.
