      An attempt is made in this paper to understand correctly the situation of conducting college athletics class, to detect out problems that lie in and provide them with proper solutions and thereby to restore the original function and role of the college athletics.
      The survey on the 485 students, male and female, of this college was analysed to show the following findings;
      1) Students show a great interest in a variety of athletic games. And thanks to their sound understanding of the purpose of the college athletics class, the athletics class seems to bear relatively desirable fruits. However, taking into consideration the tendency on the part of some students to think of the athletics class as something akin to the recreational activity or a mere sport, more attention should be paid to the athletics class.
      2) While the majority of the students are interested in the athletics class, some of the female students dislike or totally indifferent to it. This makes it imperative to take some necessary measures.
      3) Students differ from each other in their likings among various athletic games, which may be due to the difference of personal preference of each students. Students with positive value of the athletics class pose no serious problem. But for the rest, some corrective steps should be taken by the conductor of the class.
      4) It is very satisfactory to find out that the great number of Students share the same opinion on the benefit of the athletics class.
      But we must go one step further, that is to analyse the negative responses toward the athletics class that some students express, examine their reason for this so a to enhence the quality of the class.
      5) Many students are dissatisfied with th present class hours. In regard to this, it may be advisable to review the present education policy. But more important than that is the development of operational technics on the part of the class conductors to mitigate the students' dissatisfaction of the present class hours.
      6) A great number of students want athletic activities in their off-class period and complain the scarcity of facilities.
      To solve this problem, many faceted efforts should be made.
      7) A variety of the students' opinions on the college athletics class on the whole maybe summarized into the following two demands : i)the practical improvement of the environments and ii) the diuersification of th class activities.
      These demands also necessitate our continuous efforts.
      We are suffering from the dearth of full fledged conductors of the college athletics class because of the absence of the proper guidance and training of them. Therefore it is emphasized in this paper that the present college athletics class must be conducted with the carefully designed program established on the basis of the enriched knowledge of the class conductors.
