한국인의 마음지도 Ⅰ: 한국 대학생의 정서, 사고방식, 가치관 = Korean Mind Map Ⅰ: Emotions, Thinking style, and Values of Korean college students

국문 초록 (Abstract)

본 연구는 한국인의 정서, 사고방식, 가치관을 지역별, 연령별, 계층별로 구분하여 측정함으로써 한국사회의 마음의 분포가 어떻게 이루어져있는지를 파악하고, 한국인의 마음지도(Korean Mind Map)를 체계적으로 그리는 것을 목적으로 한 일련의 연구 중 첫 번째 시도로서, 대학생들을 대상으로 지역별 차이를 기술하고자 수행되었다. 정서, 사고방식, 가치관 각 영역을 측정하기 위한 11개의 척도들을 선정하여 서울경기, 강원, 충청, 전라, 경상의 5대 권역에서 각 권역 당 200명씩 총 1,000명의 대학생들에게 설문을 실시하였다. 연구결과를 요약하면 다음과 같다. 첫째 정서 영역에서, 우울은 강원과 충청에서 높게 나타났으며, 주관적안녕감(SWB)은 서울경기와 경상지역이 높고 강원, 충청지역이 낮았다. 둘째 사고방식에서의 차이는, 강원과 충청지역의 종합적 사고경향이 높았고 서울경기, 전라, 경상지역은 낮았다. 셋째, 가치관에서는, 보수성은 전라와 경상지역에서 높게 나타났으며 서울경기, 강원, 충청에서는 상대적으로 낮았다. 신뢰는 서울경기, 전라, 경상지역에서는 상대적으로 높았고 강원, 충청지역에서는 낮았다. 본 연구를 통해 수집된 지역에 따른 한국인의 정서, 사고방식, 가치관에 대한 정보들은 한국인 이해에 대한 기초적인 데이터베이스를 구축할 수 있음은 물론, 지역의 심리적 특성에 대한 이해와 관련 변인을 사용하는 앞으로의 연구에 시사점을 제공할 수 있을 것으로 기대된다.
