This very research deals with a series of curriculums where students in elementary schools are encouraged to design, plan, developand evaluate application programs by themselves. Thus, by applying the application programscreated by students, the research executed an education method in which users themselves are involved in the development of participative education system established through systemizing practical and useful ideas. At the same time, in regards to the aspects of software design, it was confirmed that elementary students are in needs of the education for designing applicationsoftware, thus a Scratch Program is utilized as a method for developing an application program that is suitable for higher graders in elementary curriculum. In this sense, this very research suggests and verifies design plans of a High Level application programs, which will support the development of a user centered application programs.
Prior to the experiment, developmental inductive model for user centered model based application programs was developed by applying Scratch and at the same time a guidance plan for each subject was designed. In order to verify the efficiency of lessons, a test paper that evaluates logical thinking skills and problem-solving skills was given to the students both before and after the experiment. As a result, the logical thinking skills and problem-solving skills were heightened after the execution of lessons. In conclusion, in case the application programs development education is implemented into the education system currently held in elementary schools according to the plans and designs of programming inductive model suggested in this very research, it would open up a new road for the new approachtowards the field of education in which the former method of elementary computer education has failed upon. Consequently, it would bring about an improvement in a learner’s logical thinking skills and problem-solving skills.
