한국 전후소설의 실존 의식 표출 양상 연구

다국어 초록 (Multilingual Abstract)

This study aims to search the meaning of postwar korean novels. Commonly postwar korean novels are criticized that they are too abstract to make the world better. But this study has little different thought. It thinks that abstractness is the result of the observation for the real life after war. Though too much abstractness of perceiving reality could have hihg-lisk that is unreal. So this study has to prove that those postwar korean novels’ abstract thought is real. This study is going to prove by analysing Chang Yong-Hak’s novels which shows us the most distinguishing point of postkoreanwar period’s reality, that the abstractness which the writer shows us is not just a pose. For proving this, this study focus on the way of narrating. The way of narrating is not only the result of consciousness but also the expression of unconciousness. For that this study pay attention to the narrater of the novels who shows very interesting characters. This study is going to show that the abstractness of postwar korean novels is the result of the experience of passing by the unbelievable incident which called war.

국문 초록 (Abstract)

이 연구는 1950년대 한국 전후소설이 가지는 의미를 조망한다. 흔히 한국 전후소설의 한계로 지적되는 것은 실천이 동반되지 않는 관념성에 있다. 그러나 이 연구에서는 시각을 다소 달리하여 관념으로의 침잠이야말로 당대 현실에 대한 핍진한 묘사의 결과라고 생각한다. 그런데 과도한 관념성은 그것이 일련의 포우즈일 위험성을 내포한다. 그러므로 그것이 당대 현실에 대한 리얼리티를 획득하기 위해서는 그 관념의 진정성이 증명되어야 할 것이다. 이 연구에서는 한국 전후 작가의 한 사람인 장용학의 소설을 분석하여 그가 펼쳐내는 관념성이 지적인 현학에 불과한 것이 아니라 당대적 삶 속에서의 치열한 현실 인식의 산물임을 밝혀내고자 한다. 이를 증명하기 위해 이 연구에서 착안한 지점은 언술 방식이다. 소설의 언술은 작가의 의식적 산물일 뿐만 아니라 무의식의 표출이기도 하기 때문이다. 작품을 이끌어가는 서술자가 보여주는 특징적 면모 또한 이를 밝혀내기 위해서는 반드시 살펴보아야 할 부분이다. 이 연구는 이 같은 점을 염두에 두고 장용학 소설의 서술자와 그 서술자를 통해 드러나는 언술적 특성을 살펴봄으로써 전쟁이라는 믿을 수 없는 사실을 통과해낸 당대 현실 인식의 실체를 밝혀내고자 한다.
