The purpose of this research is to examine what is the extent of the relationship between Chinese government and Chinese college students. Students are divided into two groups. Group 1 is college students part studying in Beijing, China. At the University A, one of the famous universities in Beijing, 220 questionnaires were distributed between January 10th and 20th, 2008. During the ten-day period, 210 questionnaires were received. Group 2 was the college students part studying in Cheongju, Korea. From March 1st, 2008 to 15th about 120 questionnaires were distributed, and 108 were returned. The results are as follows. First, the mean value of Group 1 was 3.52 and the mean value of Group 2 was 3.43. The mean scores of both Group 1 and Group 2 were larger than 3.0, which meant the Chinese government and the Chinese college students had a comparatively positive relationship with each other. Second, in three dimensions (commitment, community involvement, reputation) out of overall four dimensions, there was no significant difference between two groups. The exceptional one dimension was of ``trust``. The students studying in China held a stronger sense of trust toward the Chinese government compared with those students studying in Korea. It is hoped that the results of this research suggest a significant role for public relations within the broader scope of corporate strategic planning.
