      Supply Chain Management and Globalization changed the environment of international competition between container ports. In East Asia, top 20 world container ports, such as Pusan, Kobe, Hong Kong, Kaoshiung, Singapore are struggling to induce transshipment containers generated in the region.
      This paper aims to analyze and evaluate the competitive factors of container port in East Asia. The major compare factors are the condition of location, facilities, expenses and service level. The study reveals that Singapore was ranked among the highest group, Hong Kong, Kaoshiung and Pusan were retained next group and Kobe took the lowest group with competitiveness.
      In order to develope and sustain its position as hup port, the results of study are as follow ;
      1) widening and deepening its global network
      2) continuos development of port facilities to be a logistics center
      3) positive marketing strategies to attract transshipment cargo.
