For the last decades, information technologies(ITs) have provided opportunities and challenges to the tourism industry. However, with the ambiguity in developing ITs, the actors in the industry including airlines, hotels, and travel companies have taken the adventurous step for their activities by adopting the innovative resource, which actually is ITs. The purpose of this study is divided into three major parts. Firstly, the factors in the industrial networks such as actors, resources and activities will be identified in the tourism industry. Secondly, those networks will be analyzed on the basis of ITs, especially focusing on GDS and ADS. Thirdly, by introducing the emerging changes of technology in the hotel industry, the strategic implications with propositions will be discussed for competitiveness in the industrial networks.
