종합병원 간호사의 외상사건과 외상 후 성장 영향 요인 = Traumatic Events and Factors Affecting Post-traumatic Growth of Nurses in General Hospitals

Purpose: The purpose of this study was to investigate the factors that affect post-traumatic growth of general hospital nurses after they experience traumatic events. Methods: A cross-sectional correlation study design was used. Participants were 232 nurses from general hospitals in South Korea. Data, including self-report questionnaires, were collected from July 11th to 31st, 2019, and analyzed using descriptive statistics, t-test, One-way ANOVA, Scheffé test, Pearson’s correlation coefficient and hierarchical multiple regression analysis in IBM SPSS Statistics 25.0. Results: Post-traumatic stress (r=.24, p<.001), resilience (r=.36, p<.001), and social support (r=.37, p<.001) for general hospital nurses had a positive correlation with post-traumatic growth. The factors that affected post-traumatic growth were a) sleep disturbance, emotional paralysis and dissociation symptom subcategory of post-traumatic stress and b) persistence subcategory of resilience and c) evaluation support subcategory of social support. Conclusion: Results indicate that it is necessary to develop and provide programs to nurses to improve post-traumatic stress management, strengthen their resilience and provide social support.

국문 초록 (Abstract)

목적: 이 연구의 목적은 종합병원 간호사의 외상사건 경험 후 외상 후 성장에 영향을 미치는 요인을 조사하는 것이다. 방법: 연구 방법은 횡단적 상관연구 설계가 사용되었다. 참여자들은 대한민국의 종합병원 간호사 232명이었다. 자료는 자가보고서 설문지를 이용하여 2019년 7월 11일부터 31일까지 수집되었다. IBM SPSS Statistics 25.0 프로그램을 이용하였으며, 기술 통계, t-​​검정, 일원분산분석과 Scheffé 검정, Pearson 상관계수 및 계층적 다중회귀분석을 사용하여 분석하였다. 결과: 종합병원 간호사의 외상 후 스트레스(r = .24, p <.001), 회복탄력성(r = .36, p <.001) 및 사회적 지지(r = .37, p <.001)는 외상 후 성장과 양의 상관관계가 있었다. 외상 후 성장에 영향을 미치는 요인은 a) 외상 후 스트레스의 하위범주인 수면 장애, 정서적 마비 및 해리 증상과 b) 회복탄력성의 하위범주인 지속성 및 c) 사회적 지지의 하위범주인 평가적 지지로 나타났다. 결론: 결론적으로 간호사의 외상 후 스트레스 관리를 개선하고 회복탄력성을 강화하며 사회적 지지를 제공하기 위한 프로그램을 개발하고 제공할 필요가 있다.
