소아청소년기 비만과 동반한 질병 연관성 분석 = Using Association Analysis to Find Diseases Related to Childhood Obesity

Obesity is one of the most common chronic diseases in children and adolescents. Obesity in childhood and adolescence can lead to long-term physical complications. The purpose of this study is to investigate diseases related to obesity in children and adolescents through association analysis using Health Insurance Claims data. The rules were found using Apriori Algorithm, and the results were the same as those of previous studies, including lipidemia, diabetes and asthma. This study proved that besides none statistical methods or clinical trials used in the healthcare field there is an alternative way such as data mining technique which can be applied to large amount of data.

국문 초록 (Abstract)

비만은 소아청소년기에서 가장 흔한 만성질환 중에 하나다. 또한 소아청소년 시기의 비만은 장기적인 신체적 합병증까지 발병할 수 있다. 본 연구는 건강보험심사평가원 데이터를 가지고 비만인 소아청소년을 대상으로 비만에 따라 발병할 수 있는 질환을 데이터마이닝 기법인 연관성 분석을 통해 밝혀냈다. Apriori 알고리즘을 통해 규칙을 발견하였고 지질혈증, 당뇨병, 천식 등 기존 연구와 동일한 결과가 나왔다. 이는 보건의료분야에서 연구방법으로 쓰이는 통계적 방법이나 임상실험이 아닌 데이터 마이닝으로도 기존 연구와 같은 의미있는 결과를 발견할 수 있음을 나타낸다.
