TV드라마 프로덕션디자인에서 공간의 시각적 깊이 구현에 관한 연구 = A Study on the Visual Depth Implementation of Space in TV Drama Production Design

(Background and Purpose)TV is a medium that displays a three-dimensional image on a two-dimensional screen. In recent years, combined with the development of digital production technology, video quality has improved and production design for TV drama has come to require more realistic space configurations. Effective production design requires the consideration of the visual depth of set space and the development of sophisticated methods of representing it. (Method)This study investigated the concepts and its characteristics of production design and analyzed the visual depth of set space and its effects. Four cases of set space configurations emphasizing visual depth were selected, and materialization effectiveness was evaluated using eight factors. (Result)Through this research, the implementation of visual depth in TV drama production design is shown to be an important factor in increasing screen configuration density and thus improving realism, the ability to convey scenic effects, and other features. Further research in this area will improve the contribution of visual depth implementation in a set space to TV drama production design.
