제7차 교육과정에 따른 고등학교 국사 교과서 비문자 자료의 제시 실태와 개선 방안 = A Survey and a Suggestion in the Non-Lettered Materials in the Korean History Textbooks for the High Schools according to the 7th National Curriculum

다국어 초록 (Multilingual Abstract)

The aim of this research is to examine how well the principle of self-guided study and the promotion of the historical thinking according to the 7th National Curriculum realized in the Korean History Textbooks for the High Schools by analyzing its non-lettered materials, and to make a suggestion for improvement. From a questionnaire the research found the non-lettered materials in the history text book do not properly attract pupils` attention. The research also found that the non-lettered materials have serious defects both in contents and presentation methods as they were usually provided as just supplements. In order to get more improved effects from the non-lettered materials in the history text book, following suggestions should be met: Firstly, the non-lettered materials can be presented not only as supplements to the text, but also as a main part of the history textbook description; Secondly, they can be effectively presented to pupils as a material for inquiry questions in order to develope their historical thinking; Thirdly, they can be used as a material for a further study for the advanced students. The research also made an example how the he non -lettered materials in the history text book could be arranged according to the above suggestions on the study topic, ``ancient tombs and their mural paintings``.
