섹스 로봇의 윤리적 쟁점 - 전통적 윤리이론 기반 연구에 대한 한가지 옹호 - = Ethical Issues on Sex Robots - An Advocate of Research on Sex Robots Based on Traditional Ethical Theories -

다국어 초록 (Multilingual Abstract)

Recently, some scholars insist that traditional ethical theories are not appropriate for dealing with human-robot interaction mainly because a robot which is neither a moral agent nor a moral patient has no moral standing according to these theories. In this context, this paper claims that it is not only possible but also necessary to raise and investigate the ethical issues of Sexbots from the perspective of traditional ethical theories. First, this paper maintains that one can discuss various ethical issues of sexbots with a view to traditional ethical theories if one focuses not on the inner properties that a robot lacks but on the external properties like the robot’s behaviors and its relation to humans. Second, this paper indicates two kinds of potential harm the user of sexbots may suffer from the perspective of traditional ethical theories.
