연결망 분석을 통한 학습사회 연구동향 분석

국문 초록 (Abstract)

이 연구는 국내, 해외 연구에서 다루어지고 있는 학습사회의 주요 내용들을 확인하면서 연구내용들 간의 관련성을 탐색하고자 하며, 이를 위해 주제어 연결망 분석(keyword network analysis)을 활용하여 학습사회의 연구동향을 분석하였다.
연구문제는 다음과 같다. 첫째, 국내와 해외의 학습사회 연구는 어떠한 동향을 보이는가? 둘째, 학습사회 주제어 연결망은 어떠한 특징을 가지는가? 셋째, 학습사회 연구동향의 하위구조는 어떠한가?
이러한 학습사회 연구동향을 파악하기 위하여 1966년부터 2017년까지 총 50년간 발간된 학술지 논문을 분석대상으로 하였다. 국내의 논문은 KCI 및 RISS에서 수집한 94개의 논문을 활용하였다. 또한 해외의 논문은 ERIC에서 총 187편을 수집하였다. 이후 주제어를 정제작업한 후에 연결망 분석을 실시하였다. 분석방법은 빈도분석, 구조적속성 분석, 시각화, 중심성분석, 모듈 커뮤니티분석의 순서대로 진행하였다.
첫째, 연도별 발행 논문 수는 1994년도부터 2017년까지 학습사회 관련 논문이 꾸준히 발간되고 있었다. 학습사회의 연구 주제는 사라지지 않으며 새로운 연구들이 이루어지고 있으며 그러한 가치가 있음을 시사한다. 주제어 빈도수 분석결과 평생교육과 관련한 단어들을 중심으로 학습사회 논의가 이루어졌다. 또한 학습사회는 폭넓은 영역에서 연구가 되고 있는 것으로 확인되었다.
둘째, 국내, 해외 학습사회 주제어 연결망은 작은 세계의 특징을 가지는 분절되지 않는 형태를 지님에 따라 주제어들이 연결 될 수 있는 연구 분야를 가지고 있었다. 주변과 주제어와의 연결이 많은 연계중심성이 높은 주제어는 평생교육과 관련이 있었다. 국내와 해외를 비교하였을 때 학습사회는 평생교육 이념을 담고 논의가 되고 있음을 확인 할 수 있었다
셋째, 모듈 커뮤니티 분석으로 분류한 국내 학습사회의 연구동향의 하위 구조 분야는 6개의 분야로 평생교육, 체제와 모형, 대학과 지역사회, 학습, 민주시민교육, 네트워크로 나타났다. 또한 해외의 학습사회 연구동향의 하위구조 분야는 7개의 분야로 평생교육, 제도적 교육, 교육정책, 지역사회와 민주주의, 학습, 교육정책, 환경, 분석과 협동으로 나타났다. 국내와 해외의 가장 큰 커뮤니티는 평생교육을 중심으로 이루어져있었다. 해외의 환경 커뮤니티는 폐쇄적 연결로 확인되어 다른 연구 주제와 활발히 연구가 되고 있지 않아 연구가 필요하다. 국내의 민주시민교육은 학습사회를 만들기 위한 중요한 요소이지만, 다른 연구들과의 연결점이 없다는 점에서 학습사회의 연구주제에서 같이 연구가 필요하다. 해외의 학습사회 연구의 커뮤니티는 다양한 연결을 기반으로 구성되어 있었다. 이는 국내의 학습사회 연구가 해외의 학습사회 연구 분야처럼 폭넓은 연구와 연계성을 가질 필요가 있음을 시사한다.

다국어 초록 (Multilingual Abstract)

The purpose of this study is to investigate national and international research trend of learning society. Keyword network analysis is used to analyze the trend of publication.
Research questions are as follows. First, what is the trend of research on learning society which is covered in Korea and other countries? Second, what are the characteristics of social networks of learning society? Third, what are the sub-structures of research trend of learning society?
The subject of the study was published articles from 1966 to 2017. Data are based on the online version of KCI, RISS to collect Korean articles. In addition, a total of 187 international research articles were collected from ERIC. The analysis methods employed were frequency analysis, structural analysis, visualization, centrality analysis, and module community analysis.
The results are as follows. First, since 1994, the number of published articles on learning society has been steadily increased by the year 2017. It showed that the research theme of learning society was valuable. As a result of analyzing the frequency of keywords, discussion on learning society was conducted focusing on the words related to lifelong education. It is also found that the learning society is being studied in a wide range of areas.
Second, national and international keyword network of learning society had research fields that could be connected to the main subject as it has a non-segmented form characterized by a small world. The Keywords with high degree centrality were related to lifelong education. Comparing national to international research, it was confirmed that both of learning society were discussed regarding to lifelong educational ideology.
Third, sub-structures of Korean research trend of learning society classified by module community analysis composed of 6 fields: lifelong education, system and model, university and community, learning, democratic civic education, and network. The sub-structures of international research trend of learning society appeared in 7 areas: lifelong education, institutional education, education policy, community and democracy, learning, education policy, environment, analysis and cooperation. The largest community in Korea and other countries was centered on lifelong education. The international environment community was identified as a closed connection which is not actively studied with other research topics. National democratic citizenship education was an important element for creating a learning society, but there was no connection with other studies. The international study of learning society community was composed of various connections. This suggests that Korean learning society research need to be broadened and expanded, like the field of international learning society studies.
