대체조작교구를 활용한 교수·학습이 수학 학업 성취도 및 학습 태도에 미치는 영향

다국어 초록 (Multilingual Abstract)

An examination of the annual instruction plan of one year elementary school students' math curriculum found that the number and calculation part accounted for about 70 percent of the curriculum. The number and calculation part, the basis of mathematical learning, is increasingly becoming important. In addition, the math textbook is composed of contents that encourage activity based learning. Besides, the teacher's guide book says that it is very desirable to demonstrate possible specific operation activities or let students utilize tools for themselves while teaching new concepts or content. Nevertheless, there are lots of difficulties in using specific operation tools during class.
Therefore, this study analyzed operation activity material presented in the textbook unit 1-Na for the instruction of number and calculation part, and selected and developed alternative operation tools which may have significant effects on attaining the learning goal of number and calculation part. After that, it applied the tools in learning and teaching activities to examine their effects on students' math learning attitudes and academic achievements.

The results of this study were summarized as follows.
First, based on number and calculation part of the textbook unit 1-Na, objects the textbook specified students should prepare for math class were analyzed. Of the objects, the ones specified in the appendix were mostly stickers and number cards. Therefore, this study selected units and learning contents which needed more effective operation teaching tools and then developed seven alternative operation teaching tools for them.
Second, the academic achievements of the experimental and control group displayed a significant difference at the .05 level. This has proved that teaching and learning utilizing the alternative operation teaching tools can improve students' academic achievements.
Third, the measurement results of the experimental group's academic attitudes, such as mathematical attitudes and interest in mathematics, showed that the group's interest in math, mathematical attitudes, and mathematical value all improved significantly after the experiment. This indicates that teaching and learning utilizing the alternative operation teaching tools has a positive effect on students' mathematical attitudes.
