아동학대 연구의 변화와 과제 = A Historical Review of Child Abuse Studies

국문 초록 (Abstract)

본 연구는 아동학대 연구의 동향을 분석해 봄으로써 아동학대에 대한 우리사회의 접근법의 문제점과 한계를 짚어보고 앞으로의 연구방향을 제안하고자 시행되었다. 이러한 작업은 궁극적으로는 효과적인 아동보호서비스 체계의 발달을 위한 구체적인 자료를 제공할 수 있을 것이다. 이를 위해 아동학대 예방협회에서 출간된 세미나 발표 자료집의 내용을 수집하였고, 수집된 자료는 연도별로 연구주제, 연구대상, 연구방법을 중심으로 분석되었다. 분석결과 대다수의 연구들이 개괄적인 아동학대 실태조사에 집중한 결과 방임이나, 기아, 학교폭력의 문제, 빈곤아동들이 당하는 학대 등에 대한 연구가 다른 학대영역에 비해 소홀하게 다루어져왔고, 연구대상이 부모나 아동에 집중되어 있어 아동학대 관련영역의 종사자들을 대상으로 한 연구가 드물고, 심층사례 분석을 통한 연구 또한 상대적으로 적었음을 확인하였다. 아동학대 보호서비스에 관여하는 각 단위의 전문가들을 위한 학대 평가, 조사방법에 대한 지속적인 연구, 학대예방과 재활에 대한 연구, 사후지도에 대한 연구, 아동보호 서비스에서의 아동과 부모의 참여에 대한 연구 등을 제안하였다.

다국어 초록 (Multilingual Abstract)

This study has attempted to analyse the trend of the study of child abuse in Korea in order to seek a future track of the study by pointing out the issues raised and limitations in the approaches in terms of the child abuse in Korean society. This will contribute positively towards providing relevant references to enhancement of effective services for child protection. For the analysis, researches that have been presented in the seminars and published by The Center for Child Abuse Prevention have been categorized into theme, object, and methodology by the years. The findings from the analyses are: most studies in the area have carried out by focusing on analysing the current situation of child abuse so that the issues in relation to neglect, abandon, school violence, abuse for poor children received less interest from the researchers. It has been indicated that the objects of the studies were mostly parents and child, and the studies dealing with the issues of workers for child abuse were comparatively few, and that the studies dealing with the method of case analysis have been relatively rare. On the basis of information obtained from these processes several issues, which should be dealt with in the future researches, have been suggested: that is, the need for a consistent study on the methods of survey and evaluation for child abuse that can be used by professionals who work for child abuse protection services, preventing the children from abuse, rehabilitation and after care system for abused children, and participation of children and parents in child protection services.
