마이스터고 학생의 가정배경 및 정서적ㆍ학습심리적 특징 분석|RISS 상세보기

국문 초록 (Abstract)

본 연구의 목적은 2010년 마이스터고 신입생들의 가정 배경과 정서적ㆍ학습심리적 특성을 전문계고 및 일반계고 집단과 비교하여 살펴보는데 있다. 구체적으로 부모 소득, 부모-자녀관계 등 가정 변인, 자기효능감, 자기주도적 학습태도, 진로이해 정도 등 정서적․학습심리적 변인, 그리고 교사-학생 관계와 학교 만족도 등 학교생활 변인을 비교․분석하였다. 연구 결과에 따르면 마이스터고 학생들은 전문계고 동료들과 비교하여 보다 긍정적인 부모 관계를 형성하고 있었고, 높은 자기효능감과 자기주도적 학습태도를 보였으며, 학교 만족도 역시 높았다. 졸업 후 진로에 대해서도 일반계고와 전문계고 집단이 대학 진학을 선호한 반면, 마이스터고는 취업하겠다는 학생이 많았다. 이 연구 결과는 마이스터고가 일단 "조기에 직업 기술인으로 진로를 결정한 학생"을 모집하는데 만족할만한 성과를 거두었음을 보여준다. 또한 마이스터고 학생들의 학습심리적 특성을 볼 때, 그들이 장차 높은 직업교육 성취를 보일 가능성이 있다고 추론할 수 있다. 아울러 마이스터고가 중등단계 직업교육기관으로서 정체성의 위기를 겪고 있는 전문계고에 새로운 발전방향을 제시하고 있다는 점에 주목할 필요가 있다.

This study compared family backgrounds, psychological factors related to learning performance and school satisfaction among first-year high school students from different school types - meister, vocational, and general high schools. The study was conducted to explore whether the meister school based vocational education reform would be effective. Samples included 198 meister school students, 218 vocational high school students, and 220 general high school students. One-way ANOVA and Chi-squared test were employed. Meister school students showed better relationship with parents, higher self-efficacy, higher self-directed learning attitude, greater career awareness, and better school satisfaction compared to their peers from vocational high schools. Results suggest that meister schools succeeded in recruiting students who are more likely to achieve higher performance in the vocational education setting. Based on study results, it may also be argued that meister schools have a potential to be a successful case in reforming vocational high schools.
