The objective of the paper is to investingate hte thermal properties of TMA clathrate compound applicable to cold storage system for residential air-conditioning in order to use energy reasonably.
Especially, the test tube experiment is performed to compare and analyze the density of TMA clathrate compound, the temperature of heat source, and the phase change temperature, specific heat and sub cooling according to the variation of charge capacity. The result are summarized as the temperature of heat source is lower, 2) below -10℃ of heat source, the obvious effect of sub cooling suppression appears, 3) the phase change temperature appears higher as the charge capacity is larger, 4) the specific heat of TMA clathrate compound apperars as 89% in the pure water.
Thus, it appears that TMA clathrate compound has thermal properties as the cold storage medium for residential air-conditioning. Also, the concentrative study needs about mass concentration causing the phase change when the heat source temperature is -15℃ without the sub cooling phenomenon.
