    다국어 초록 (Multilingual Abstract) kakao i 다국어 번역

    Economic development of Korea brought rapid progress and expansion of her industries. Accordingly, numbers of workers in industries who have been exposed to hazards responding to the work process are increasing. Heavey metal poisoning is one of the most important group of chronic poisoning mainly by Pb, Cd, Cr, Hg, Mn, As, and so on in Korea. Since there is no curative way so effective, prevention of exposure and early detection of poisoning are the utmost way of controlling the disease.
    For early detection of those poisonings, there have been no other ways except blood, urine, and hair examinations to measure the concentration of suspicious etiological metals from them. It is said that the hair examination is the most convenient and reliable method if equipments are available. However, it is very hard to clarify the normal range of those metal concentration in blood, urine, and hair ol Korean people. Especially for the concentration of the metals in human hair, there would be great variety in concentration by race, ethnic group, or inhabitating locality they belong to.
    In view of the above reasons, an attempt was made to devote to the establishment of normal range of cadmium and lead concentration in hair of Korean.
    For the purpose, a total of 265 peoples who have not dealt with the above metals in their dail?? working life were selected as sampls of the study. From their hairs, concentrations of the above metals were measured with atomic absorption spectrophotonmeter and the results were analysed in accordance with the characteristics of the samples as shown in the followings.
    1. The average concentration of cadmium in hairs of urban peoples is 1.9 times higher than that of rural peoples (p<0.001), and the concentration by sex and residencial area are;
    2.18±2.03 ㎍/g in a total samples from urban area
    1.85±2.20 ㎍/g in the males from urban area
    2.43±2.00 ㎍/g in females from urban area
    1.11±0.92 ㎍/g in a total samples from rural area
    1.08±2.03 ㎍/g in males from rural area
    1.30±0.91 ㎍/g in females from rural area
    2. The average concentration of lead in hairs of urban peoples is 1.3 times higher than that of rural peoples (p<0.025), and the concentration by sex and residencial area are;
    9.82±9.34㎍/g in a total samples from urban area
    8.65±8.75㎍/g in the males from urban area
    11.06±9.93㎍/g in the females from urban area
    5.26±6.20㎍/g in a total samples from rural area
    5.32±5.67㎍/g in the males from rural area
    5.25±6.68㎍/g in the females from rural area
    3. There were statistically significant correlations between concentrations of cadmium and lead in both of the urban and rural peoples showing;
    Pb=1.50 Cd+6.69 (r=0.213, p<0.05) in urban area
    Pb=1.44 Cd+3.67 (r=0.327, p<0.001) in rural area
