경기도 외국인학교 현황 및 교육요구 분석 = The Present Condition and An Educational Needs Assessment of Foreign School in Gyeonggi-do

국문 초록 (Abstract)

본 연구는 외국인 투자기업， 임직원의 생활 기초 인프라로써 경기도 지역의 외국인학교 현황을 파악하고， 경기도 지역 내 거주하고 있는 외국인학교 수요자들의 교육요구를 분석하는 데 그 목적이 있으며， 연구결과는 외국인 생활 여건 개선 차원에서 외국인들의 자녀 교육문제 해결에 일조할 수 있을 뿐만 아니라 장기적으로는 외국인 생활환경 개선을 통한 외자유치에도 일익을 담당할 수 있을 것이다． 교육요구 조사 결과， 경기도의 거주 외국인은 꾸준히 증가하고 있는 데 비해 경기도 내에 우수한 교육 프로그램과 시설을 갖춘 외국인학교는 크게 부족함에 따라 외국인학교 추가 설립의 필요성이 적극 제기되고 있다． 외국인들의 자녀교육 문제 해결을 위해서 뿐만 아니라， 전반적인 외국인 생활환경 개선을 통한 외자유치를 위해서도 외국인학교의 추가 설립은 필요하다고 할 수 있다． 결국， 경기도 차원에서 중점 추진하고 있는 외국인 투자유치 및 기업하기 좋은 환경 조성을 위해서는 외국인 교육여건 개선이 수반되어야 하며， 외국인학교 추가 설립은 경기도 내 외국인 교육환경 개선을 위한 직접적이고 효과적인 방안이 될 수 있음을 알 수 있었다．

다국어 초록 (Multilingual Abstract)

The purpose of this study was to catch the present conditions of foreign school in Gyeonggi-do and to analysis the needs assessmemt of foreign school. The result of this research will be a help to improve the educational environments of foreigner and to attract foreign capital and to create a highly competitive and successful business environment increase investment of foreigner.
Based upon a research, foreigners dwell in Gyeonggi-do were increased but quality school run short. It was necessary to found an additional foreign school in Gyeonggi-do. A foreign school is a key element in the investment decision for foreign employees as they seek quality education for their school-age dependent children. These employees expect good facilities, excellent curriculum and professional instruction for their children.
Gyeonggi-do should be committed to establishing all the infrastructure elements necessary, including an exemplary foreign school, to attract foreign capital and to create a highly competitive and successful business environment. An additional foreign school will be a help in providing a better environment for foreign education in Gyeonggi do.
