      Until now, art education has mainly focused on expressive art. Consequently, due to negligence of education for appreciative art, our society has failed to foster citizens who possess the capacity to appreciate artistic culture. However, fortunately, there has been growing interest in education for appreciative art Upon being actively reflected in the 7th Art Education Course, experiential artistic activities in the DBAE based appreciative art education have been strengthened. The experiential artistic activities should not be preceded independently They should rather be preceded in various types of manner accompanied by expressive activities in organic collaboration with appreciative activities Modern Art incorporates generalities of fine arts The most effective way to acknowledge the diversity of art and upgrade ones level of artistic appreciation can be achieved by applying artistic experience to expression and appreciation of art So far, with in the limits, we have looked at what art and artistic experience mean first and the aspects of modern art that we can apply to artistic education for children second. Through such activities, children can discover new artistic awareness and artistic concept that is ever expanding. Thus, our children will be able to grow up as cultural citizens who possess higher level of artistic insight in order to truly enjoy art culture.
