지역평생학습 활성화를 위한 지방자치단체의 역할과 과제

다국어 초록 (Multilingual Abstract)

This paper discusses on the principles of role and tasks related to the lifelong education in local governments to promote local lifelong educational developments.
Under the educational autonomy system having an independent education committee and educational superintendent, responsibility of the local government should be one of the most important factors in developing policy alternatives for local education. Since 2001, the local governments have developed and supported the lifelong education program with a cooperation with Ministry of Education, the central government education authority.
The purpose of this study is to identify regulations related to local government’s lifelong education programs and to suggest directions to make an ordinance by examining trends and current status of the central and local government’s policies.
In this study, the role and tasks of local government to stabilize the lifelong education program is suggested in accordance with the regulations.
