안구 건조증 환자에서 0.05% 사이클로스포린 A점안액의 효과 = The Effect of Cyclosporine A 0.05% Ophthalmic Emulsion in Dry Eye

국문 초록 (Abstract)

안구 건조증은 경미한 불편감에서부터 심한 통증까지도 야기할 수 있어 일상생활에 많은 지장을 초래하기도 한다. 기존의 안구 건조증은 단순히 눈물의 부족 또는 눈물층의 불안정 때문이라고 알려져 왔으나 최근에는 염증반응의 일환으로 설명되고 있다. 이러한 염증성 안구표면 질환들의 치료방법 중에서 면역을 억제함으로서 염증반응을 조절하는 것으로 알려진 사이클로스포린 A 점안액은 최근 널리 사용되고 있는 치료법이다. 사이클로스포린 A 점안액의 효과에 대한 여러 발표들이 있지만 아직까지 장기간의 결과보고는 미약한 상태이며, 흔한 부작용으로 알려진 자극감이나 충혈 등에 대한 보고도 많지 않다. 이에 저자들은 본원에서 안구건조증으로 치료 중인 환자에게 0.05% 사이클로스포린 A 점안액를 처방하여 경과를 관찰하여 효과 및 환자만족도에 대해서 분석하였다. 일반적으로 알려진 바와 달리 점안액의 효과 및 환자 만족도는 크지 않았으며 이물감 등의 불편감이 많아 중도에 사용을 중단하는 환자가 많아 이에 대한 개선이 필요할 것으로 생각된다.

Dry eye can cause some troubles in life. Existing understanding about the cause of dry eye is the lack of tear volume or instability of tear layers. But, it is known as inflammatory reaction recently. Cyclosporine A eye drop known as controlling the inflammation by inhibiting the immunity is the widely used treatment for dry eye. Even though there are many reports about the effect of cyclosporine A eye drop, reports about long-term results and complications of cyclosporine A eye drop is not many up to now. We prescribed cyclosporine A 0.05% eye drop to patients suffering from dry eye and analyzed the effect of cyclosporine A 0.05% eye drop and the satisfaction grade of them. Our research shows that the effect of it and the satisfaction grade of patients are left something to be desired and many patients stopped the use of it because of ocular discomforts such as foreign body sensation and ocular pain.
