한문학 연구에서 네트워크 분석 활용방안 = Network Analysis Approaches to Classical Sinitic Literature of Pre-modern Korea

다국어 초록 (Multilingual Abstract)

This paper aims to examine digital humanities methodologies applicable to the study of Korean literature in classical Chinese. It analyzes the benefits and limitations of applying social science methodologies, particularly social network analysis, to humanities research. The paper first examines current debates on digital humanities in academia and explores changes in humanities research tools and environments in the context of media history. It discusses network theory as a new understanding of structuralism, offering a fresh perspective on relationships between society, humans, and texts. As precedent research using network analysis, it introduces Harvard University's China Biographical Database(CBDB) and special issues on network analysis from the Journal of Chinese History, Religions, and Digital Humanities, examining how social network analysis has been applied in East Asian studies. Furthermore, it introduces orean literature in classical Chinese research cases, specifically exploring how concepts of “betweenness centrality” and “intertextuality” can be utilized to examine relationships between authors, texts, and readers.
