In this paper, Efficient method of envelope extraction for quantitative and objective analysis of EEG signal was studied. The results are as follow. Base-line noise and 60 Hz power line noise mixed in EEG signal were efficiently removed by passing designed digital filter. Instantaneous phase and frequency as well as envelope in EEG signal were extracted adequately by Hilbert transform method. Hilbert transform method showed higher quality than complex demodulation method in the envelope extraction of alpha rhythm of EEG Signal.
