대졸청년층의 하향취업 = 연령집단 및 하향취업 측정방법에 따른 비교

다국어 초록 (Multilingual Abstract)

This study examines the determinants of the downgrading employment which means the worker's actual levels of schooling are lower than required levels of schooling for youth in Korea by age groups(youth, the middle ages). In addition, we measure the factors of downgrading employment by taking the objective method as well as the subjective assessment of respondents.The main results of this study are as follows. Differences between age groups, age and marital status are insignificant for youth. Downgrading employment for youth is more frequent within the residents in non-capital areas, college graduates, workers of lower wage level and non-regular employees. According to the objective method, 42% of young workers feel a situation of downgrading employment. But only 23% of them are found in a situation of downgrading employment.Considering the above-mentioned facts, labor policies to reduce the under-utilization of human resources need to focus on the expansion of labor market information especially for the disadvantaged, and for the improvement of employment services.
