남자 대학배구선수들의 한국배구 및 아시아쿼터제 도입에 대한 인식조사 = A Study on the Perception of Korean Volleyball and the Introduction of the Asian Quarter System Among Male University Volleyball Players

국문 초록 (Abstract)

본 연구는 한국배구 스포츠의 현황 및 장단점을 진단하고, 아시아쿼터제 도입의 배경과 아시아쿼터제가 한국배구에 미칠 영향을 조사하여 향후 한국배구 스포츠의 발전 방향을 모색하는데 목적이 있다. 이를 위해 총 국내 남자 대학배구선수 83명을 대상으로 2023년 3 월부터 5월까지 한국배구 및 아시아쿼터제에 대한 인식조사 설문을 실시하였다. 한국배구 스포츠에 대한 현황 및 인식 조사 결과는첫째, 한국배구는 아시아권에서는 보통의 수준이고 전 세계권에서는 다소 낮은 수준으로 인식하고 있었다. 둘째, 한국배구의 강점은기본기이며, 블로킹과 높이는 약점으로 인식하고 있었다. 셋째, 샐러리캡 제도에 대해서는 긍정과 부정이 양분화되어 있었으며, 넷째, 외국인선수 트라이아웃 제도에 대해서도 긍정과 부정이 양분화된 것으로 나타났다. 아시아쿼터제 도입 관련 인식조사 결과는 첫째, 국내 배구 스포츠 경기수준 향상 및 관중 수 증가에 긍정적인 영향을 미칠 것으로 인식하고 있었으나, 둘째, 국내 아마추어 선수육성과 프로진출에는 부정적인 영향을 끼칠 것으로 인식하고 있었다. 셋째, 아시아쿼터제 도입은 한국배구의 국제경쟁력 향상에 긍정 또는 부정적 영향을 미칠 것으로 인식하고 있었다. 한국배구의 발전을 위해서는 유소년 선수층 확보, 훈련 프로그램 개선, 2군 제도의도입, V-리그 홍보와 산업 성장 등이 필요하며, 문화체육관광부, 협회 및 연맹, 교육부, 학교 등 다양한 기관이 유기적으로 연계된 구체적인 전략 수립과 적극적인 지원이 필요할 것이다.

다국어 초록 (Multilingual Abstract)

The purpose of this study was to diagnose the current status and strengths and weaknesses of Korean volleyball sports, investigate the background for introducing the Asian Quarter system and its potential impact on Korean volleyball, and explore the direction for future development of Korean volleyball sports. For this purpose, a survey was conducted from March to May 2023 on the perception of Korean volleyball and the Asian Quarter system, targeting a total of 83 male university volleyball players in Korea. The results of the status and perception survey on Korean volleyball sports were as follows.
Firstly, Korean volleyball was perceived as being of average level within Asia and somewhat low level globally. Secondly, the strengths of Korean volleyball were considered to be the good basics, but blocking and height were perceived as weaknesses. Thirdly, opinions were divided on the salary cap system, and fourthly, opinions were divided on the system related to foreign players. The results of the perception survey related to the introduction of the Asian Quarter system showed that, firstly, it was perceived to have a positive impact on improving the level of domestic volleyball sports and increasing the number of spectators. However, secondly, it was perceived to have a negative impact on the development of domestic amateur players and their professional advancement. Thirdly, opinions were divided on the impact that the introduction of the Asian Quarter system would have on improving the international competitiveness of Korean volleyball. To develop Korean volleyball, it is necessary to secure youth players, improve training programs, introduce a secondary league system, and promote the V-League and industrial growth. Concrete strategic planning and active support will be required from various organizations, such as the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism, associations and leagues, the Ministry of Education, and schools, all of which should be organically linked.
