한국 대학생들의 장애인에 대한 차별적 태도 연구 = Differential Attitudes of Korean Students toward People with Disabilities

국문 초록 (Abstract)

본 연구는 한국 대학생 및 대학원생들을 대상으로 장애인에 대한 태도를 연구한 것이다. 총 239명의 남·여 학생들이 본 연구에 참여하였다. 장애인에 대한 일반적 태도를 측정하는 SADP(Scale of Attitudes toward Disabled Persons)를 수정하여 신체장애인과 정신장애인으로 구분한 후 학생들을 대상으로 태도를 조사하였다. 연구결과, 신체장애인이 정신장애인보다 더 호의적으로 평가받았고, SADP의 세 하위척도 상에서도 동일하게 평가받았다. 이전에 장애인을 만나본 적이 있다고 보고한 학생들은 장애인을 만나본 적이 없다고 응답한 학생들보다 더 긍정적인 태도를 보여주었다. 교육연한과 관련하여 대학원생들은 대학생들보다 더 호의적인 태도를 보여주었으나 남·여 학생들 간 태도점수는 통계적으로 유의미한 차이가 없었다. 본 연구의 제한점 및 재활프로그램에 대한 시사점 등이 논의되었다.

다국어 초록 (Multilingual Abstract)

This study was to investigate differential attitudes of Korean students toward people with disabilities. A total of 239 Korean students participated in this study. The Scale of Attitudes Toward Disabled Persons(SADP) was modified to differentiate mental disabilities from physical disabilities. The results indicated that Korean students showed more favorable attitudes toward people with physical disabilities than those with mental disabilities, and the same holds for the 3 subscales of SADP. Years of education and contact experiences with people with disabilities were found to induce more favorable attitudes toward people with disabilities disregarding the types of disabilities. No gender difference was found in this study. Limitations and implications of the study were discussed.
