Color is one of design components that can represent cultural identity. Recently, a study on modern hanok (traditional Korean-style house) has been conducted as a part of effort to strengthen the cultural identity of Korea. Unlike conventional hanok, modern hanok should be able to contain the sensibilities and lifestyle of modern individuals. In this study, interior space of modern hanok differentiated from existing hanok is suggested by developing a color scheme that can be applied to interior colors ofmodern hanok and presenting a color scheme simulation for each space. The development of color scheme was based on ``300 Colors of Interior Design Color Palette for Modern Hanok`` developed by a preceding study. Extracting a color scheme from the Color Palette was based on Theories of Colour Harmony by Ostwald in accordance with his principles of achromatic color harmony, isochrome harmony, same color harmony, similar color harmony, and complementary color harmony, to comprehensively review the possibility of arranging colors that can be extracted from the Color Palette. Such color schemes are differentiated from existing color schemes in that they were selected from Interior Design Color Palette for Modern Hanok developed by a preceding study, instead of a general color palette. In addition, the possibility of using a higher color scheme was examined by presenting a simulation for interior space that is actually under construction.
