사건의미론 관점에서 본 상징부사의 서술성 해석 = Interpretation on Predicativeness of Symbolic Adverbs from the Perspective of Event Semantics

다국어 초록 (Multilingual Abstract)

This study makes an interpretation on predicativeness of symbolic adverbs from the perspective of event semantics. In event semantics which regards the meaning of sentences as events, event arguments should be hypothesized, and adverbs are considered as predicates. Here predicates are not noun arguments but predicates which regard events as arguments. This makes predicates different from predicative nouns which have an ability to allot arguments. Onomatopoeic adverbs are manner adverbs that express same events as verbs do. Mimetic adverbs are classified into manner adverbs and resultant state adverbs. Resultant state adverbs are used when transitive verbs show that objects' state was changed following the result of agent's action. Because symbolic adverbs do not have ergativity, they do not have predicativeness.
