      일제강점기 원불교계와 독립운동의 상관성에 대한 시론적 검토

      In 1924, Sotaesahn Park Jung-bin opened the Buddhist Doctrine Research Society, the predecessor of Won-Buddhism. Until liberation in 1945, it was in Japanese rule for 23 years. In the situation that the Buddhist Doctrine Research Society with the head of the Iksan is continuing its activities in the country, the conditions of the Japanese colonial period can not help but to limit the birth of the national movement and the independence movement. From this point of view, the forerunner of the Won-Buddhism was the populace-oriented religion. It was not the same kind of Donghak or Daejonggyo that had intense directivity as a national religion from the beginning and developed. However, the people who were digging into the Buddhist Doctrine Research Society could never be liberated from the reality of the people at that time. People and Shinto were members of the people. The believers of Buddhist Doctrine Research Society was a person with a considerable level of knowledge and intelligence. Many of them should have pondered the contemporary reality and tried to overcome it. Many of the Buddhist Doctrine Research Society groups that lived during the Japanese colonial rule were likely to have been liberated from the standpoint of the non-political. It is an undeniable historical fact that Won-Buddhism is a national religion developed in Korea by Koreans. The reality of the past nation was directly related to the reality of Won-Buddhism(Buddhist Doctrine Research Society). The process and outcome of the national independence movement, which struggled to overcome the difficult and hard times, the contradictory reality of the nation, can never be liberated with the Won -Buddhism of the national religion. I urge you to pursue a thorough study of the history of the religious order in order to promote the unending development of Won -Buddhism and the bright future of the denominations.
