I have looked at detailed methods of recognizing locality through the anonymous person`s sijo from areas near Seoul during Chosun. I especially paid attention on the fact that locality is formed through continuance and accumulation of special mechanism of movements and settlements by aristocrats. And, from those points, I mentioned the localty of Yeongun, Kangho, Jeonga, reflective Sijo etc. For exemple, first, Yeongun sijo during the Joseon Dynasty is literary expression of capital-centered mentality. It was local literary outcome that was produced by special conscious and emotion of the aristocratic class who were based on Seoul and regions adjacent to Seoul. Second, for Joseon people, Songdo was recognized as a place of external, which means a place where people enjoyed breaking away and a sense of liberation from the routine and stressful life in Seoul. In this sense, Songdo became the background of reflective Sijo. Songdo provided a rare opportunity for nobles in Seoul in Joseon to encounter a totally different physical world of a ruined site to reflect themselves. They became free from the routine and worldly desire as they came across to that moment. This is the real meaning of reflective Sijo.
