변신 모티프의 시적 수용

국문 초록 (Abstract)

본 논문은 시론인 ‘변신 모티프의 시적 수용’과 자작시 50편으로 구성되어 있다. 변신 모티프에는 몸을 바꿈으로써 현실세계와 그 바깥 세계를 자유롭게 오가며 육체적·정신적 조건을 극복하고 내면의 이상을 실현하려는 욕망이 투영되어 있다. 본 논문에서 필자는 시 창작의 한 연구방법으로 변신 모티프의 양상을 살펴보았으며, 부정적 현실을 극복하고 새로운 인식의 지평을 열어주는 차원에서 이 문제를 접근하려고 했다. 또한 변신 모티프를 통해 시인의 무의식에 존재하는 미지의 욕망을 들여다보고자 했다.
본 논문에서는 변신 모티프의 시적 수용을 세 가지 경우로 나누어 살펴보았다. 먼저 놀이 충동에 의한 변신에서는 실재와 부재의 경계에서 놀이를 통해 환상의 세계에 몰입하는 모습을 볼 수 있으며, 다음으로 일상 일탈을 위한 변신에서는 일상을 넘어서서 자아의 본질과 정체성을 찾아가는 과정을 엿볼 수 있다. 그리고 마지막으로 초월 추구로서의 변신에서는 절망적인 주변 상황이나 자신의 내면을 인식함으로써 그로부터 벗어나고자 하는 초월의식을 감지할 수 있다.
본 논문에서 필자는 세계를 인식하고 파악하는 여러 방식 가운데 하나인 변신 모티프의 기능과 효과를 살펴보았다. 이와 같은 작업은 ‘존재할 수 없는 것이 때로는 존재할 수 있다’는 가능성을 제시할 뿐만 아니라, 인간 내면에 숨은 다양한 욕망을 긍정하고 존재 본연의 모습을 추적하고 모색하는 과정을 살피는데 도움이 될 것이다.

다국어 초록 (Multilingual Abstract)

This study carries the poetic theory, 'The Poetic Reception of Transformation Motif' and fifty poems written on my own. In transformation motifs, freely crossing over the reality and external world by changing bodies, the desire has been reflected that tries to get over physical and spiritual conditions and achieve inner ideals. As a study method of poetic creation I have explored the aspects of transformation motifs. I have approached this question in the level of overcoming negative reality and opening a new horizon of awareness. Through examining transformation motifs I have also looked in the unknown desire existing in the unconsciousness of a poet.
In this thesis the poetic reception of transformation motifs is divided into three cases. First, in the transformation by play drive are witnessed the aspects of immersing into the world of fantasy through playing on the border of presence and absence. In the transformation for escaping from daily routine can be seen the process of looking for the essence of self and identity beyond the reality. Finally, in the transformation as a search for transcendence can be perceived the awareness of transcendence by recognizing the desperate surroundings and inner world of the self.
I have examined in this project how transformation motifs effectively work as one of many ways of understanding and recognizing the world. They may not only suggest the possibility that 'what cannot exist may occasionally exist,' but also examine the process that transformation motifs take in diverse desire in human mind and trace and explore the aspects of being as it should be.
